Being a second year archaeology it’s still a bit sad that i’ve not been on any real digs. Hopefully though i’ve been in contact with County Sites and Monuments Records Officer and Canterbury City Council archaeologist director and i may get some placements volunteering.

May have a possible dig for a Medieval Manor House in Maidstone soon next year, finger crossed.

I had about a period of 6 months were i was so destined to travel to Tanzania with Water Aid charity group to see another country in the eyes of a foreign helper. But this never came to be.

Still, it is in my list of places to visit.

I have a plan for the next few years of my life, i know it’s a risk. But I’m going to aim with all my willpower.

Finish college this being my third and final year, take a Gap Year involving a part time job for money and volunteer work at Archaeology trusts (already planned) and possibly also some charity trusts, go into University and get a Degree in either Anthropology, Archaeology, or Classic. From here on i will persue a life dedicated to history and the enrichment of the past and societies to the rest of the world.
