For anyone who is already starting their business, I recommend these free tools, online profit or break-even calculators and e-books: http://www.actioncoach.com/free-business-tools.php.
Jim Rohn once said people put a lot of emphasis on
making decisions but “making decisions is easy, it’s
managing them that takes work.” I personally see the benefit in going with a franchise, versus starting from
scratch, because the systems for success in managing a
decision like being an entrepreneur are already in
place. But, no matter, which way someone decides to
start success requires a help.
Sometimes people don’t realize how much help they need. I’m proud of where I work (http://www.ActionCOACH.com/) because business coaches help business owners, like all these folks, and keep them accountable to their own goals. They also host business education workshops all over the United States and in 26 countries, for business owners to network and learn at all different levels (startup or way beyond …).

I am about to start my own freelance bookkeeping business…of course I would for it to last much longer than 2 years…use it to help take very good care of us and our future children! We will also be building our own home when we are able. Any input on this is greatly appreciated…thanks!
Tonight I returned to 43Things so I could update the team on the news that ChangeEverything.ca (a site inspired by 43Things) has been nominated for a Webby. (It’s up against Facebook, among others, in the social networking category. Please vote for Change Everything at http://pv.webbyawards.com !)
As I always do when I come back to 43T after a while, I cruised down my list of 43 Things. And here it was: the goal of starting a company that survives longer than 2 years.
Well, we’ve not only done it (we’re now at 29 months, officially) but we’ve even made the short list for a Webby. Not bad for two years in!
but haven’t done w2 work for two years :-) Does that count?
Does it help that I’m going to finally be getting the proper hardware and website to actually sell my product?
